Washing

Drying
Avoid wringing or twisting the saree to remove water. Instead, gently roll it in a clean, dry towel to absorb excess moisture. Hang it to dry in a shaded area, as direct sunlight can fade the colors.
Ironing
Use a low heat setting and always iron on the reverse side of the saree. For sarees with embellishments, place a cloth over the saree while ironing to protect the decorations.
Storing
Store sarees in a cool, dry place. Use saree covers or muslin cloth to protect them from dust and moisture. Avoid hanging silk sarees for long periods, as the fabric might stretch.
Handling Embellishments
Be gentle with sarees that have embroidery, sequins, or beads. Avoid folding them along the lines of these embellishments to prevent damage.
Avoiding Perfumes and Deodorants
Apply perfumes and deodorants before wearing the saree, as these can stain the fabric or lead to discoloration.
Stain Removal
In case of stains, it's best to clean them immediately. Blot the stain gently with a soft cloth and avoid rubbing. For tough stains, consulting a professional dry cleaner is advisable.
